Impossible Red Sox Louisville Slugger Bat, Circa 1965
Offered here is a W215 Louisville Slugger signature bat, circa 1965. It obviously has a cracked handle, which is taped with electrical tape (I have not attempted to remove it). I can feel an inch-long chunk missing from the handle, probably where the crack begins. It shows heavy use and has cleat marks and one or two spots with very minor grain separation.
The player is Bill Schlesinger, who participated in exactly one Major League game. It was on May 4, 1965 with the Boston Red Sox, where he grounded to pitcher Marcelino Lopez in his only at-bat against the California Angels. Here's the box score:

Schlesinger played in the minors from 1963-69 with the Red Sox, A's, Cubs and Phillies organizations. His rookie card is in the 1965 Topps baseball set (shared with Jim Lonborg), and a card in the 1968 baseball set represented as a member of the Cubs.
$100 delivered. Thanks -- Anthony
