Jackie Robinson Store Model Bat
On the knob of a Jackie Robinson store model bat there are bats stamped with JR3 or 5 on knobs what is the difference? Time period. I am inquiring about a Jackie Robinson bat knob stamped with 5 on it. Any information would help. Thank you.

Re: Jackie Robinson Store Model Bat
The bat knob labelings as you described are both indicative of a store model bat, as you determined. The JR3 references a 33-inch bat (likely a youth baseball bat.) The labeling of a 5 on the knob indicates a store model bat that is 35 inches in length. These bats are not highly sought after, and any value would be determined in large part by the condition, with the bat labeled with a 5 being a bit more desirable as a full-length bat.
