Questions about my Joe Namath New York Jets jersey

Hi guys! Hope someone can give me some feedback about this jersey. I’m wondering if it is going for anything or is it something I should just hang on to. This is all I know about it. My mom bought it when Namath played for the Jets. She was a huge Joe Namath fan and was in her early 20s then. It is a Sand-Knit jersey and looks like it has never been worn. The size does say X-LARGE. So what I have gathered from the research I can find is that it was not a team issued jersey but was sold to the public. Any input that anyone has would be greatly appreciated!!
