1960 Frank Robinson bat:
I just added this fresh to the hobby bat of Robbie...
The R139 model, used by Frank with the Reds, is the rarest bat of his on the ordering records as it's pinned to a single order of 6 bats in August of 1960. Similar to his contemporaries (Aaron, Clemente and Mays), his pre-1960 bats out there number in the 10-15 range, while end of career late '60s/early 70's bats are fairly plentiful in number. This bat has great use with heavy seam impressions, light handle tar and the first early career bat of his I have seen with the 20 on the knob end.

Ben, you've had a great month. Really great items, the Morgan bats are just tremendous, I love anything with an old Reds gift shop receipt.

Agreed Ben. Your bat acquisitions reminds me of a radio DJ's promotional quote: "The hits keep on comin'!"

Looks like Gorilla777 and I both added some Dodger flannels this month. Mine is a 1971 Dodgers Wes Parker road uni. One year style, and this is the only Wes Parker jersey I can recall ever seeing. For those of you too young to know who he was : "Parker was part of the Dodgers' 1965 and 1966 World Series teams. Known as one of the slickest fielding first basemen of all time, he won the National League Gold Glove Award for first base every year from 1967 to 1972. In 1970, Parker posted a career high batting average of .319 and performed the unusual feat of driving in over 100 runs in a season while hitting no more than 10 home runs." (Wikipedia)

I am assuming this is an 1890's Bib wool baseball jersey. I have also seen them listed as / firemen's industrial league jersey
