MLB Authentication - code not on website

I purchased a bat from the team shop, and the code was not working when I bought it. No worry, sometimes there is a delay I am told. Well, 2 weeks later, still not showing on the MLB site. I contacted the MLB guy, and he responded he would "get right on it".

Have any of you been through this kind of thing? Should I expect a positive outcome?
