2007 All-Star Game Jersey Patch

While watching the MLB All-Star game, I noticed that while all of the players on both sides had the All-Star game patch on their right sleeve of their jerseys, Mike Lowell had the patch on his left sleeve of his jersey while Jonathan Papelbon didn't have a patch on his jersey at all. Must be a Boston thing.

Brian Roberts also had his patch on the left sleeve.

Just a thought and I havn't done any research on this but perhaps each player had the patch put on the opposite sleeve of their throwing arm. Ortiz and Okajima are lefties and had the patch on their right sleeve Papelbon and Lowell had them on their left sleeve and are righties. Brian Roberts is right handed and had the patch on his left sleeve. Just a shot in the dark.
