    Chipper game used bat question

Know we have several knowledgeable Braves and Chipper fans on here...did Chipper ever use tape on his bat handle? I know he used tape on the barrel for BP bats, but not sure about taped handles and their use.
    Thanks in advance,
    buc

Is this the bat from EBay with "LT" also on the knob?

Ok good. There was one that ended 3 or so days ago that had tape on it with 10 on both ends and an LT on the knob. Someone bought it and it's crap in my opinion.

Chipper definitely put LT and RT on his bats. I can send you a few photos if you need. As far as tape, I can not recall ever seeing that.

I dont have any opinions on the LT and RT. The bat I saw had a huge piece missing, almost half of the handle. There was also either spiral tape or remnants of one at some point. I didnt like the use either. We arent talking about that one anyways so I guess it doesnt matter, but it was junk.

Chipper put tape on the knob of some of his bats in 2012. It was similar to how Dan Uggla taped his knobs. He didn't use it all season, but anything beyond tape on the knob is a no go in my opinion. I would even stay away from tape on the knob prior to 2012. He most definitely marked knobs with LT AND RT.
