Jack Clark, Boston L/S C324

I just acquired a Jack Clark L/S C324 black bat Boston Red Sox. Was there many of this type bat ordered during this period (1991-92)? The diameter of the barrel appears small from handle on up; the bat very light. Is this an example of power batter figuring to get more bat speed in his last years?
