    Tray Walker, 23-year-old CB for the Ravens who just completed his rookie season in the NFL, died today (3/18) of injuries sustained in a dirt bike accident.

    Joe Garagiola, Sr., longtime major league catcher and broadcaster (not to mention author and TV host), died today at the age of 90...

    Ken Howard, actor who played a basketball coach Kenny Reeves on "The White Shadow" on TV in the 70s, died at age 71.

    Ken Turner, a FB who was drafted in the 3rd round by the Patriots in 1992, died today of ALS. He was 46.

    Turner played for the Pats and the Eagles during his NFL creer.

    Danny Johnson, a DB for Alabama A&M, died in an uto accident this past Thursday. The 2-year starter was 20 years of age.

    Orlando Alvarez, an outfielder who played in 25 games with the Dodgers & Angels from 1973-76, died yesterday at the age of 64

    Tom Butters, who pitched in 43 games for the Pittsburgh Pirates from 1962-65 and was later head baseball coach at Duke University from 1968-70 followed by a long tenure as the school's athletic director, died March 31 at the age of 77

    Mike Sandlock, who played for the Braves, Dodgers and Pirates in his career, died Monday night at age 100. He was the oldest living MLB player at the time of his death. Sandlock's career in The Show began in 1942, took a little time out for the military, resumed in 1944, continued through 1946, and then made a final appearance with the Pirates in 1953.

    Brandon Bourbon, a former RB at the University of Kansas, died a week ago at age 24, apparently of a suicide.

    Bourbon spent three injury-plagued seasons at Kansas before transferring to Washburn College last season, where he rushed for 937 yards.
