By pounding his 40th HR of the season in Wednesday night's 5-4 win by the Braves over the Phillies, Ronald Acuna Jr., at age 21, became the 2nd youngest player in MLB annals to hit 40 HRs in a season. Only Mel Ott was younger (age 20) when doing this.

    Better late than never, but...

Earlier this week Giants manager Bruce Bochy earned his 2,000th MLB managerial win, the 11th MLB field boss to do so. The 10 who reached that milestone before him are all in the Hall of Fame.

In last night's Lakers game, Lebron James passed the 33,000 point mark, the 4th player in NBA history to do so.

Oddly enough, the top 4 in that category have all played for at least one season with the Lakers (Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Karl Malone and Kobe Bryant.)

The incredible Drew Brees set not just one, but TWO NFL records in Monday night's 34-7 whipping of the Colts.

The one that's drawing major attention is his ascension to the all-time NFL record for passing TDs, which he now owns at 541 (and counting).

Not as heralded but still awesome is that he set an NFL record for completions in one game, connecting on 29 of 30 passes (96.7%)
