In game 2 of their first-round NBA Playoffs series, the Clippers defeated the Warriors 135-131, coming back from A 31-point deficit to do so. It was, for Golden State, the biggest blown lead in the history of the NBA Playoffs.

On the night of 4/19, an MLB first was recorded. In the Yankees win over the Royals, the top of the 7th inning found Yankees reliever Adam Ottovino facing Royals OF Terrence Gore. It was the first time ever in MLB that the pitcher and batter squaring off both wore number 0 on their uniforms.

    Exclamation Pujols passes Gehrig

In Friday night's Angels game Albert Pujols slammed a 2-run HR that gave him RBI numbers 1994 and 1995. The second one allowed him to pass Lou Gehrig and move into 4th place on the all-time MLB RBI list.

The Buffalo Bills have issued the #32 jersey (O.J. Simpson's number) to newly acquired RB Senorise Perry...the first player to wear that number after O.J. left the team (1977).

Last week a Blue Jays-Rays weeknight game drew a crowd of just 5,786 to Tropicana Field. It was the fewest fans ever to watch a Rays game at the "Juice Box" in franchise history.

This past Tuesday evening, Stephen Strasburg of Washington, despite a very sub-par performance (5 IP. 5 ER, 6 H) nonetheless notched his 100th career win as the Nationals defeated the White Sox.

On Wednesday, Chris Sale of the Red Sox became only the 2nd pitcher in MLB annals to ever throw 2 "immaculate innings" twice in the same season. This refers to a pitcher who strikes out all 3 batters he faces on only the 9 pitches he needs to accomplish that.

While several pitchers have also done this twice in their careers (Sandy Koufax had 3), the only other hurler to ring up 2 in the same season was Lefty Grove (1928).
