Lance Berkman bat

I got my first bat last week, it's a Lance Berkman Louisville Slugger and it has the number C271L on the barrell along with his signature and Houston Astros in block lettering. I think it's a bat from 2006. Can anybody tell me anything about it? I found a couple other Berkman's online, but they had different model numbers. Tell me something interesting - make me a bat collector

Congrats on your first bat! For Berkman I think you'll find that he mostly uses the C271L model now. A great majority of the bats I see online or at the team store for him are C271L. You will also find B364 models, but not as frequently.

You are correct! Lance began his career using predominently Galen colored Glomar bats. He then used some Rawlings bats in 2000 and early 2001. In late 2001 and early 2002, he predominently used Block Letter Louisville Slugger B364. In late 2002 he received his first signature model Louiosville Slugger C271L bats, and has been consistent ever since. Lance has tried a few bats other then LS, including Dinger, D-Bat, and X-Bat. I will post some photos later of various Berkman bats.
