Great Three Rivers turnstyle. Maybe I used it to enter the stadium when I saw Teke don this cap! It is absolutely hammered.
What I find most intriguing about the use profile is that the bill has been worn smooth on the top from him adjusting his cap before each pitch, as was his (and a lot of pitchers') habit, and as a result, now has a sheen (see third picture). I've collected a lot of g/u hats over the years but never saw that before.
When viewed up close, you can also see where the apparently barren side of the cap with only one Stargell star once matched the other side, with the stars having fallen off over the years. Given how lightly affixed the remaining stars are (you can rotate them with your hand), this is not all that surprising. This may also explain why it is rare to find hats from that era sporting Stargell stars.
