Edgerrin James Jersey in AMI Auction

The Edgerrin James jersey up right now for auction comes with COA from the Colts. It is a throwback jersey that does not have the NFL Shield on it. Is anyone familiar with the Colts having throwback jerseys without the NFL shield I havent seen it done?

Yes. I had a Mike Doss throwback and there was no shield and I got it from a friend of Doss who had several of his jerseys. But I am almost positive the throwback had THREE thinner stripes versus the two thicker but that was in 2004 for the Thanksgiving Game. I am not sure why they would have worn throwbacks in 2005? It certainly doesn't look like the throwbacks, but I know their 2004 Throwbacks did not have the shield, so if it is a throwback, a shield may not be there. Can look at Getty images for Thanksgiving 2004 to see what I mean. But doesn't look like a throwback style in my opinion.
