Les Richter, an 8-time Pro Bowl LB for the Rams and a top NASCAR executive after his NFL career, died at age 79 this past Saturday.

Richter was drafted by the Dallas Texans in 1952, but signing hassles led him to be dealt to the Rams in exchange for 11 players. After serving our country in the Korean War, he played for the Rams fron 1954-62. His stint in the NASCAR hierarchy lasted from 1983-92.
