    Yankees Jersey's tag mistake?

I have a Joba Chamblain Game used jersey with similar tag in picture. But this picture was sent by a seller on Craigslist for a C. C. Sabathia jersey.

Is this a mistake? Or is the seller trying to get a fast sell on non-authentic item?

Is there a way to verify the age of the jersey by looking at the tag?

I'm not sure what your question is, but that is a pro coded wash tag with the 0062 code.

What is the 0062 code tag means? I thought that was for Joba Chamberlain who wears number 62?

So it is possible to have same code tag for different player?

A authentic jersey or retail jersey tag will have a code of 6200 almost all the time. Game used or issued jersey depending on the make(cool base or knit) will have a pro coded starting with a 00 prefix, it's not always 0062 sometimes it differs. It can be 0063, 0068 or something of that nature. But it will always start with 006.

That tag doesn't show that much wear (no fading from washing etc) is it a one game jersey (like opening day?) .I ask as on my Rob Thomson and Bruney 09 and 08 Opening day jerseys the tag looks crisp and non-distressed like that where as my jerseys that have been used through out the season the tag is severely faded and folded.

Thanks alot of your help, Scott.

I just want to make sure of the item before I am committed. I am still learning about Game Used jersey. This is a good start.

    Thanks again.
