Any RAWLINGS baseball expert out there?....

When did RAWLINGS stop using commemorative balls for ALDS and ALCS?

The last ones that I have are from 1999 ALCS.

I have been searching for 2000 ALDS and ALCS for a bit now - nothing.

Someone told me - after Rawlings decide to go with one universal ball at the beginning of 2000 season, they scratch out the idea of having individual Divisional and Championship ball for both leagues.

    Any proof to this story?

Still have not giving up hope to locate a 2000 ALCS game ball.

I got some of those also. It is just generic MLB balls with no special stamping.

I guess they just stop making those special GAME Ball for playoff ... but they sure as hell produce a ton of REPLICA with special logos for playoff games.

    Weird!

Stop produce the real thing - but they will mass produce replicas.

    Yankee stub:

The explanation offered to you is a correct one. The introduction of the official MLB baseball negated the individual league logo versions.

I saw a game home run at the 2003 NLCS here, shown to me by the guy who got it...it was a standard MLB baseball.

I am curious how the rest of the ALDS and ALCS baseballs look like.

So as we speak, I am interested if you have one or more of these balls and you are looking to sell them ... drop me a line please.

Let's round out the years - anything from ALDS and ALCS game ball - from 1990 through 1999.

And oh, let me know your asking price also of course.

by the way, I am refusing to pay $99 shipping fee for a dozen of MILLENIUM BASEBALL on some website posted here....

I have a question along these lines.

When did MLB start using World Series and All Star specific balls? I have a 1990 World Series ball signed by the Reds...but am wondering how far back did that begin?

    Thanks,

    Jeff
