All those years of juicing evidently caused him to lose his ability to think rationally.

He couldn't even kick Danny Bonaduce's ass so what made him think he had a chance with Hong Man Choi?

I remember seeing him on CNBC talking about how big he was investing in the "dot-com" boom. When that market crashed, I'm sure he took a beating.

Could have been that or maybe all the powder he shoved up his nose.

First, guy he was fighting was a friggin' giant, second it looked like he hurt his knee, then fell and the giant just pounced on him. Weird rules that they stopped it over that.

Jose didn't look too bad IMHO.

Canseco is a clown, through and through. He looked like a clown against Bonaduce and again against Hong Man Choi. Hurt knee? Please. If that's the best defense anyone can come up with to support Canseco's idiotic ploys to hang onto whatever "fame" he once had...that's sad.

He's a has-been. Once he realizes that and quietly disappears into the night....the happier most of the rest of us will be. Maybe happier isn't the right wording....perhaps relieved would be better.

Don't get me wrong....to his credit so far he's been right about most everyone he's called out about steroids. Past that...he's a bafoon. Nearly every public or media appearance he makes is a testament to that.

    I agree a 100%

How did he not look too bad???

He looked like he didn't have a clue of what he was doing. His only defense was he kept sticking his leg up and it look like he was doing that because Hong kept sticking his leg up, so he followed suit.
It look like he didn;t even train for the fight and was just gonna try to go in there and have a regular street fight.
You can't do that with guys who are trained.

Hong is a trained fighter I have seen him before, it was stupid to match these 2 up.

Two more examples of Canseco being a clown. I forgot all about his first boxing match with Vai Sikahema. Then trying to extort money from Magglio ordonez, losing his house because he blew all his money...saying he only had $18 million or so and had to take care of his family. Jim Rome says it perfectly in the second link.

Actually - Jose didn't look bad early. he had a gameplan at least...
He lands a few good shots and immediately gets out of the way. The lack of training and the fact that he's fighting a friggin' giant both played into him injuring himself...he threw a kick and it was blocked and he was unable to effectively continue.

I watch alot of MMA and Boxing - and even though Jose is not a marquee anything anymore...he could still beat up most of the local MMA fighters and boxers in most cities. For being 42, the dude is still in great shape.

Instead of getting into these stupid matches, he could make more money and enhance his damaged rep by charging a few grand to talk to high school kids about PED's...the guy has had some bad advice over his career. It's a shame he still listens to those people.
