Wanted 9/24/54 Baseball Game Film & Program

    Hi,

I am looking for baseball game film and program from Friday September 24 nth, 1954 New York Giants against the Philadelphia Phillies. The game was played at @ Connie Mack Stadium. I only want the 2nd game all 9 innings. Tried searching the net with no luck. Email me at Sureway321@aol.com. Happy Holidays. Thanks B.F.

The probability of finding film from a regular season game 55 years ago is about zero.

Here is a link to the box score and play-by-play:

    Hi Treant985,

Thank you for the link. I already have it. Retrosheet is pretty good on old box scores. I wish they had spring training baseball. Long time ago saw someone on the internet that had old baseball games. You never know. Happy Holidays. Thanks B.F.

The guy with the best collection of old baseball film is Doak Ewing. His website is: http://www.raresportsfilms.com/

He describes his 1969 Cubs-Phils game as the oldest known complete regular season game, although I have the 9/30/1967 Twins-Red Sox final game of the season on DVD.

Anyway, I'd contact Doak, and he'll tell you it doesn't exist, but he may have some highlight footage from that season that might give you what you want.

    Good luck,
    Mark
