Hempstead High School, Dubuque, IA. Only half way famous person from here is Mark Steines, the current host of Entertainment Tonight. Although Ryan Sweeney (current A's OFer) did hit a monsterous homer at Hempstead his senior year playing for Cedar Rapids Xavier. Jay Berwanger, the first ever Heisman Trophy winner and first ever NFL draft pick (although he chose not to play professional football), went to the high school across town. They show off a replica heisman trophy and have a nice section for him in the trophy case.

Football HOF'er Michael Haynes and some Judge named Lance Ito. Ito was the Judge who presided over the case of a certain HOF running back who tied up the 405 Freeway one afternoon. And, does Heidi Fleiss count as a pro?

    Kind Regards,

    Ron.

Montrose High School, Montrose PA - Graduating class is usually less than 150 per year.

Chris Snee - NY Giants OL (Played football w/him, he was 2 years ahead of me)
Rich Thompson - AAA Baseball for the Phillies right now I think. He made it to the majors w/the Royals a couple years ago, but is back in AAA and he bounces between teams right now.

Luther High School North, Chicago. Only pro athlete I recall was former Jets lineman Gary Puetz. His kid sister Gloria was in my class ('75).
