Found an earlier example and thought I would share. Note: no spots on the dog. Maybe we can start a photo library/reference. This example has a mushroom knob.

Here's another publication from 1911.

Hey Bill,
Any idea about the date of manufacture for the D&M number 20 bat you have pictured? I'm assuming somewhere between 1890-1910, but I don't really know. Thanks...

Hi Kevin,
The other examples that I have come across during my research had the same time frame estimate. There were only a few that I had come across. Gotta love the early stuff !
Hello, I have this watch fob from the Draper & Maynard Company. It is made of silver. The fob has "Nick the Lucky Dog" on it with no spots. Can anyone help date this fob. Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you,
James Bond
Just came across this old D&M bat and am hoping some of you guys can lend your expertise regarding its age. The logo looks very much like the one Bill posted, except this is a model 25. It has a mushroom knob, holes in each end (with a plug in the knob end), and a band around the bat where the dog's tail is. Comments?
