Holy smokes. Sweet room, konerko!
Wow! Awesome! What do the plaques say?
LOL. Hah.
My wife works for a museum exhibit design company and they can make those cases with museum quality fabrics, glass, etc. They are not cheap (like $500-$750) but they display really nicely and are literally used in museums like the HOF. I have one that they are working on now. I can put you in touch with the shop that does their fabrication if anyone is interested. Nice cases for high-end stuff are hard to come by and I like having these types of custom cases where you can display multiple items and rotate them.
Good luck with the construction Konerko- be sure to post the finished product! Hope it turns out well.
Here's my room.....I live in my basement now since I have so much stuff.
Kyle... I think I have a new man crush. I live in 1 BR and am moving to NYC in a couple weeks into a 2 bedroom (both rentals). You have the basement I want someday. Nice job!
Home base - at least a couple of walls. It changes all the time.
Note the vintage (80's) blue paint.
Back home for the summer, ready to start over in my first apartment in August but here is what I am working with.
Here is what my Montreal Candiens hockey rooms looks like. I also have a game baseball signed balls 2 baseball gamers (John Olerud & Joe Carter). A huge amount of game worn hockey jersey's mostly Canadiens.
WOW, thanks Kyle and Dave, Now I can show my wife and she can finally realize how small my collection is....Good Job guys!!!!!!!! Think she'll let me squeeze in a baseball motiff in the new baby girls room?????
i meant I have several signed baseballs, signed game used Olerud bat, 2 game used baseball jersey's (John Olerud and Joe Carter)
I just can't compete with you guys - and I'm not sure I'd want to. I have far too much personal stuff, political stuff, and other interests to ever have a sports room that large. This is the extent of my on-display sports collection. I have other items that are not on display, but that is fine by me. I might eventually want a sports memorabilia room, but that's about as far as I'd go.
http://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j1...ellDisplay.jpg I am looking for another pair of cleats to fill the bottom right portion of this display case, hence my posts in the Wanted subforum.

My autographed and/or g/u bat collection, including Pete Rose, Hunter Pence, and Jeff Bagwell.
That's pretty much it.

some of the items have been sold but for the most part, it still looks the same:D

MOMEN55,
I see you have some game used batting helmets. I was wondering who's helmet is the Brewers one.
Thanks,
Jamie

P.S. I'm always looking for Milwaukee Braves and Brewers equipment.
skube;
let me tell you a story about that helmet; it is sold by the way. i bought it as a greg brock gamer. when i received it, i noticed that the helmet had been painted all blue, but could still see the outline of the white panel.
i used some waterbased solvent that soften the blue paint and with a little elbow grease and a few hours, that is what was underneath! the stripper didn't harm the white paint nor harm the plastic. i washed the paint off and gave it a quick buff.
the pics i took of the process are in the drive of my old computer that crapped out and i can't get them extracted. but i was surprised when i saw that it was the older style.
i restore helmets, and that was the first one i did!:D
Not newly renovated, but here's my room. At least part of it anyway. This is how I have my jerseys displayed.

I have 1 game used base, ceremonial 1st pitch home plate and pitching rubber, 1 game used home jersey, 1 game used ball, 1 autographed team ball, game used cap and 1 HR bat, and set of catchers equipment.
I would like to know your thoughts. Thanks!

Actually being renovated as we speak! Almost there!
Sorry, I tried about 15 different angles and I really have to get close up before you can read the names and only about 9 bats show at a time. I have about 310 used Mariners bats starting from '77 running through this year. Ichiro is the big hole and Omar Vizquel is the little one. Just about every other big name is well represented as well as many obscure M's.
Thanks!
Davis
Mariners Gamers,
By chance do you have any extra Gorman Thomas bats? Please email me at jlschultz180@wi.rr.com
Thanks,
Jamie Schultz

Here is my room. I stils have to finish the darn trim. I am also making curtains for the room using City of Chicago Flags that were used at US Cellular.

My 9 X 11 office has been gutted and remodeled since last October. Here are some photos. We removed the original (1936) windows, all trim, and closet door, and custom built the bookcases and display case. Except for the Eddie Murray, all photos were taken by me.

Here are some pics from my basement and my office displaying some of my sports items. I have added a few things recently but I don't have pics of them yet. I will add them later today or tomorrow.
HELLO: GREAT COLLECTION... CAN YOU SEND A BIGGER PHOTOS TO MY EMAIL ADRREESS? IS MUSEOVEN@HOTMAIL.COM... THANKS
This is a BASEMENT? My God, it looks like a museum. Absolutely beautiful. Being a carpenter I have some pride in mine, and can really appreciate the workmanship in your basement. Is that granite on the countertop bar??? Stunning. My basement is currently a pigsty - and I'll wait til it is clean to post pics...

SKYKING & AROD, thanks for the props. Yes, that is granite on the bar and back bar. The basement is a rear walkout so it has plenty of natural light. When my wife and I built this house I really wanted to do some extra things with the basement to make it different from the other homes in the neighborhood. I know from experience that when it comes to resale in the area I live, two things usually make or break a home, the kitchen and basement. Women love kitchens and men love basements. We have been in the house for about two years now and I'm ready to sell and build again and add some other ideas to the ones we used on this house. I'm pretty fortunate as I work for a wholesaler in the electrical, plumbing, lighting & HVAC business and I am able to get everything in those areas below cost so it saves me a ton of money.
One of the nicest basements I have seen. I agree, my wife is always in the kitchen, and I can always be found in the basement. In fact, she says I "hide" down there. While that may be so, it is where the sportsroom is and where the computer is. Not much going on upstairs except fighting with our 2 kids so it is no wonder I make my escape whenever I can...
Rose... wow! I'm thirsty. Awesome job. Very classy.
Thanks again guys for the compliments. JGOLD, come over for a drink anytime. SKY, I know exactly what you mean as sometimes my wife "punishes" me by sending me to the basement. Really tough punishment. ALLSTAR, I live in Floyd Knobs, Indiana which is right across the Ohio river from Louisville, Kentucky.
