Thanks to this forum, I was able to track down a bat I have wanted for quite a while. I had posted a want ad for a heavily used signed Jeter bat with Steiner COA. Last month, Efrain from Steiner e-mailed me to let me know they had just received a few from the 2007 season and after describing exactly what I wanted, I received photos of 2 bats which I was able to pick from. I settled on one that had great use with tar/motta all over the handle. I had to wait for Jeter to sign it and it arrived late last week. The auto came out nice and bold...The bat had more use in person than the photos show...and best of all I photo matched it to Jeter wearing #42 on Jackie Robinson day. The bat matches up perfectly to several photos in multiple spots. These photos do not truly show how perfect the bat is...The bat is matched to a better version of this photo and several other photos that show the distinct white mark below the TPS logo, a mark on the handle of the bat, marks next to the MLB logo and marks on the front of the bat.

Wow! That looks incredible. Congrats!

Mind if I ask what that set you back?

Jeter, imo, has the best looking autograph/signature in baseball.

Thanks,
Jay

First off, great bat. What would be extra cool would be to find that jersey and make a move on that. Im sure who ever bought that Jackie Robinson jersey would be willing to pay double what you paid for the bat anyways. Great photomatch and great bat all around.

Will Steiner send pics of their game used bats for a prospective purchaser to look at? I had thought you had to purchase one sight unseen.

sctizzle,

Great bat! And, it's photomatched to Jeter wearing his #42 jersey for Jackie Robinson Day! As a Dodger fan, even I would have been proud to have this item from a player like Jeter in my collection (well, had I been able to afford it). It's a great association piece on several levels.

Congrats!

Kind Regards,

Ron.

Sctizzle, looks like you got a great bat. Do you know if Steiner normally will send you pictures of a bat to make a selection or did they do that special for you?

Anyone know what Jeters Jackie Robinson day jersey sold for on mlb.com auctions? Did many Yankees wear the #42 that day? That Jeter bat is awesome. I don't recall seeing any photomatched bats of his out there and to get one from Jackie Robinson Day game is and extra bonus.
