With many more player's using them this year, I'm hoping after these end another batch gets put up. Seems last year there was a couple waves of them. Many guys are still missing that used them. No Yankees, Reds, D Backs, Cardinals ect...are even up. Does anyone know if Sammy Sosa used his in the game? That will be an interesting one to watch.

I got the Jay Gibbons for $310. With 85% of the purchase price going to charity, I thought it was the perfect keepsake from the "Mother's Day Massacre" (or "Mother's Day Miracle" if you are a Sox fan) and a nice reminder of just how disfunctional my beloved O's have become.

Very impressive prices for charity. I wouldn't say a bunch didn't sell at $300. Only 5 I think didn't get bids and they were common player's and bats showed little use. I got Wilkerson for a nice price and it shows great use. I had to get one for my collection, I think they are great bats. Top sellers were

The Torii Hunter bat is up now. He went crazy in the Sunday night game with a couple homers and bunch rbi's, no surprise the bidding is over 2k on that one. It looks like the bat he used. Any idea who made the Kubel bat? His was really different. Just had his Mom's name and the date on it.
Be sure to check getty images and search 2007 pink bat. A few of these games have a bunch of nice pictures with guys with the bats. Kyle will have a field day photo matching. Although no Yankees and Reds have been auctioned, nice shots of those teams. Also, Mets, A's, Mariners, Rangers ( many Sosa shots), ect on getty. Anyone heard if Yanks, Reds, Cards bats are going to be sold?
I just hope they send them out soon. I can't wait to get it in hand.

I was at the A's game when they used the pink bats. Some players used the pink bats for their first AB only. Others used it the whole game. Maybe thats what Prince Fielder did, or maybe he just used it in BP. As for the A's bats, I wanted to bid on the Bobby Crosby. He hit a home run with it his first AB, however, look at the bat...absolutely no use as far as I can tell. From my understanding, the players were issued 2 pink bats each, if they wanted? Is that correct? Anyway, I imagine Crosby kept his pink bat he homered with...that's what I would have done, to give to my mom.

So what if he went 0-4, at least you know 100% where it came from and shows some nice use from pictures. I wish they showed pictures of the back of the bat in these auctions. It's nice donation to charity as well.

I too received an e-mail Wednesday morning saying I had 8 days to pay. I noticed my card had not been charged. I sent an e-mail to MLB auctions through the e-mail I received, got a reply telling me just to follow the instructions and input my card info, that I would not be double charged. So mI paid and got an e-mail this morning saying payment was processed and the bat will be shipped soon. This is the first time this has ever happened through MLB. I usually get charged automatically the day the auction ends.

Well I know in another thread on boards someone has already gotten a bat in hand. So those who won them last week should get them soon. I checked my CC card and it got charged Wednesday. So I'm hoping early this week. Anybody going after anything tonight. Should be some nice action on a few of them. I wonder if this will be the final big auctions of them on MLB.com. I did find this photo album online of the Nationals and Marlins game from Mother's day. Some nice shots of the pink bats including a few of Zimmerman.

My Bautista bat arrived today with amazing use. It has the clearest MLB logo imprint I have ever seen. The pine tar is so thick it is ridiculous and it is still wet as the day it was put on. Now I have it drying out, before I slider it into a tube. I'll get pics posted soon...it is awesome!!!

Received my Ramon Hernandez bat today. It is absolutely pounded with use. I will try and post pictures tonight.

The MLB Auctions shipping mysteries continue, however. I won the Hernandez bat on 6/25 and received it yesterday, 6/27, which is great. Still no sign of the Gibbons bat I won on 6/18, although my credit card has been charged.

I remember seeing that Hernandez bat when it was up. It looked like it had great use. So you guys that already have gotten your bats back. Did you get email tracking info? Does DHL deliver them. I won Brad Wilkerson bat on 6/18 and have gotten anything so far. I know they charged my credit card on the 6-20. Other than that, I have nothing. It always seems the things I really want the most take forever to get to me and I have no patience. Also, can you tell where the package is sent from for those with bats in hand. Let's see some pictures of these.

I received a DHL shipment notification Tuesday saying the bat should be delivered Friday. It for the Berkman bat I won on 6/18. 11 Days is not bad considering the auction said it could take 4 weeks.

I received DHL notification the day before the Hernandez bat arrived. The bat appears to have been shipped from New York. Still no word on the Gibbons bat that I won last week, although my credit card was charged.

89ASMVP....You may or may not know this but Sports Illustrated had a huge picture of Hernandez using that bat in their first issue after the game. I no longer have it, but you may want to pick it up as a companion piece for the bat...Nice bat!

Got my Grady Sizemore pink bat today. It shows more use than what was shown in the auction description-very happy with it. I won the Jimmy Rollins bat last Monday and have yet to receive it, but I got the Sizemore today after only 4 days- tough to figure out. Anyway, here's the pics:

Man those bats are nice. I love seeing them, but it's just killing me that I haven't heard one word about the one I won. Other than my credit card was charged on the 20th. I just don't get it. Why haven't they shipped all these things out. They must have them. They all had pictures of them before the auction.

The shipping puzzle is tough to figure out considering that I received the Gibbons bat today (6/29) that I won on 6/18. The Hernandez bat that I purchased on 6/25, however, was in my hands on 6/27. Both bats were shipped from New York.

Based on the condition of the Gibbons bat that I received today, MLB Auctions can sometime use the term "game used" liberally. The bat is more game ready than game used. It was difficult to gauge the use from the auction pictures since they did not display that back of the barrel. Aside from a few rack streaks, his number on the handle, and a handful of dings, there is little evidence that Gibbons used this bat. Luckily the money went to a good cause. Let me know if anyone would be interested in this one at a price below the $310 that I paid for it. For what it's worth, the bat is autographed and there aren't many of these on the market.

I won 3 bats on the 6/18 auction...I received a DHL shipping notification and one box arrived today, I opened up the top of the box (which had Jason Bay written in Black sharpie)...pulled out the bat and instead of a Jason Bay bat, a Don Kelly bat was sent....not quite the same...I am attempting to contact MLB auctions---am not too happy about this mistake and the long time it has taken to get the bats...:cool:

1st time won a Mike DiFelice Katrina batting helmet they sent me a catchers helmet.It was corrected but took a few weeks.

3rd time won a Mets game used ball from 8-20-06 tbc weekend I was at the game. The ball never showed took 2 months to get my money back with no explanation what happened to the item.
4th Won the Endy Chavez mother's day bat cc charged on the 25th still waiting...

I'm still waiting from the first batch for my bat to show up. Still not a single word on where it is. I emailed them on Thursday asking what the hell I need to do for them to send it to me. Haven't heard back from that email yet either. I hope I get some kind of info tomorrow. Does anyone know a phone # or have a contact email with MLB.com auctions, other than the customer servies email on the site? I guess I'll wait another week or so and if I still don't get any info or the bat in hand, I'll just have to do a charge back on the credit card. Might be the only thing that will get something going.

I spoke to someone in shipping at mlb this morning about my Rollins pink bat that I won on June 18th. She was very kind and explained that the bats are being packed/shipped by hand and there is only 2 people trying to get everything out. She also said that the 4th of july holiday week along with the All-Star break pushed things back a bit. They are trying to get the remaining bats shipped in the next couple of days. When asked why bats were shipped "out of order"(I got my Sizemore bat- won a week AFTER my Rollins bat, which I have yet to receive) she said that they are basically shipping out whatever they can get their hands on first in the room where the bats are kept. It doesn't sound like the best system but she seemed pretty sure things will get out very soon. hope this info is helpful.

Gomes Max Bat from Mothers Day was auctioned tonight at the Devil Rays game . Went for $335.00 . Supposedly the other bidder wanted the bat cause his mother died last year from cancer . So I stopped bidding and let him have it.

I hope he wasn't lying .......

XPFO great pictures. That bat shows awesome use. The pink really makes the ball marks and ink transfers really stand out. Can't beat the pine-tar either. With what Kellsox posted, I still have hope mine will show up one of these days.

Well I finally got my Wilkerson today. Took just over a month. Very happy with the bat. Has the still sticky pine tar on it and some great blue ink/ball marks on it. I'll get some pictures up soon.

They will most likely be re-listed. I've seen it been done before. It could take some time though.....for example: About a year ago, right after the All Star Game in Pittsburgh, they were auctioning off the rosin bag from the game, and it ended with no bids. It just re-surfaced again a year after it was first listed in MLB Auctions

Here is some pics of my Wilkerson bat. I could only find one photo on getty with him from the game. It's only of the handle, but I think it's my bat. You can see some pinetar/moto clumps on the handle. It lines up with the top of the six writtten on the handle. With player's only getting a couple of these made, what are the odds the other one is like this. Still looking for pictures of Wilkerson from this game or even video.

won the jonny damon for a friend and it was listed as game issued, but it has plenty of use and pine tar and on getty images clearly shows him useing a mothers day bat can't figure that one out in my option its GAME USED any thoughts on it i would like to hear........ also does anyone else think the pink bats SHOW TONS of use, i like it the use shows up clearly more visible on the pink............

I won the Robb Quinlan Angels pink bat this year. Robb did not play in the game that day. However, the pink bat has plenty of pine tar, use, and ball marks. I'm sure it received a good workout during batting practice that day. It was listed as game used, not game issued. However, clearly it was never used in a game.

Why do you rule out him not using it in batting practice? Some of the pink bats were just used in BP? and we all know MLB authentication includes pre game/BP as game used. I always wonder if the team makes these decisions or does the player decide if he wants to let go of a bat. Some guys pink bats have never shown up, but were used in the games. I know zero pink Reds bats from this year were auctioned and quite a few player's used them during the game. I wonder if I will see them at Redsfest this winter. I will ask around and see what happened with them. Have the D Rays people ever said why they kept them? Did many player's use them on Mother's Day?

dcrules or anyone else, can you post the auction links on what all the 2007 Red Sox player's bats that sold for, curious with what use was like on them.. I know Manny had one up that wasn't used in the game. The Wily Mo bat was hammered with use. I know Drew, Hinske had them up. Pretty sure Ortiz, Lowell, DP ect used them... Youk went for almost 1k.

Ok I figured out looking up past auctions on mlb.com. You just have to search for both open and closed at same time and shows the completed one's.
