Mine would depend on the season..
Now that it's baseball season, it would have to be my 2003 Roger Clemens jersey. A jersey, pants and hat set of Randy Johnson that is photomatched is close.
Hockey- A three way tie between Whalers Chris Pronger and another Whalers Brendan Shanahan, with a photomatched and HAMMERED Jeremy Roenick Hawks. It really depends on my mood...
Football- Muhsin Muhammad's game worn jersey and pants set from the game against our Cardinals in 2006. He didn't do much in the game, but it's a classic battle. Every time I look at it, I recall Dennis Green saying, "The Bears are who we thought they were..."

I think this thread has happened before, but I remember it fizzling, so I'm glad to see it back.

Mine is a strange one: a baseball used by Bob Feller when he pitched for Navy over the Army team.

Other faves: Early Wynn game used bat, Ronald Reagan auto'd bat, Kevin McHale GW jersey.

My game used collection really starts and ends here. Only the white jersey and the teal jersey are game used, but the teal one is my pride and joy. It is from the Jags first ever Monday Night game 9-22-97, which was also Brunell's first game back after his knee injury when everyone said he might miss the whole season but he was back in week 3. Big game for Brunell, 3TDs, over 300 yards and a win for the Jags! When Brunell left the Jags, the newspaper in Florida did a count down of his top ten favorite moments as a Jag, and this game came in at number 4 for him. This one will be handed down to the grandkids for sure.

Here is mine. Being that he is my favortie player to collect at this point, he is probably not big on anyone's radar yet. But one day he should be. He's got a big heart and drive that will get him to the show. My most prized possession of GU items is Adrian Cardenas' 1st pro jersey from the GCL and a GU uncracked bat from this year auto'd by him. It is pounded with use with tons of tar. I am planning on getting a frame that will hold both on display.

Enjoy!

all of you guys should post pics of those items.
anyway, here's one that's quite special to me. a 1991 half-zip bp gamer.

the reason it's special is because of the style. a half-zip with the 1991 all-star patch. jays (v-neck) bp gamers from the early 90s are tough enough. the half-zips in general are almost non-existant. a half-zip WITH the all-star patch is incredible if i say so myself. i've never even seen a photo of another one (in a collection or on the market). the rarity is what makes it special to me.

I am especially proud of my Dodger Stadium seats. The Dodgers recently replaced every seat to match the original colors when the stadium first opened. From the seats that were made available after the renovation, I obtained a pair of yellow (Field Level), orange (Loge Level), blue (Reserved Level) and red (Top Deck).

Also, I am very happy to have signed Topps baseball card contracts of Steve Garvey and Walter Alston in my collection. Additionally, I have a 1978 Garvey Dodgers game used bat that is partially team signed (14 sigs).

Kind Regards,

Ron.

Mine would have to be my Jose Canseco game used and inscribed 400th Homerun bat and the actual ball he hit. I acquired these both from Jose personally. I also have 7 other bats I got from Jose. A close second would be the two game used bats he personally gave and inscribed to me. They are from the Long Beach Armada when he played for the GBL last season. He inscribed them To Todd, Thanks for Everything Jose Canseco #33.

I have a letter from Cards manager Billy Southworth to owner Sam Breadon dated 1943 - regarding a "screen test" for Harry Walker. The letter is pretty cryptic and discusses secrets within the press corps in STL and NY (where the letter was sent from)...it is on Cardinals letterhead and signed by Southworth.

It is from a WS year, and HOF manager...so to me it is a one of a kind item that screams to be shown off. I am very proud of it.

Mine might have to be my 1943-45 Army baseball program vintage signed by every player that played like the Dimaggio brothers (Joe and Dom), Mize, Coach Dickey, and Pee Wee Reese. I want to say a total of about 40 or so signatures. Dont see players going to war now a days, so I guess its unique. I tried cropping a picture about 10 times and continues to say its to big, so I said the hell with it.

Mine is an autographed/game-used Ichiro "Chase ball" from September 30th 2004. These specially marked balls were only put into play when Ichiro came to bat during his pursuit of George Sislers then record 257 hits/season, similar to Arod for his 500th HR and Bonds with 715 and 755 HR*. The only way you can get these balls were if they went out of play. I bought the ball on Ebay when I took a chance from a 0 feedback seller who took terrible photographs of the ball and would not answer my enquires.

What is funny, is after I won the ball this guy whom I can't remember his name wrote me via Ebay saying that he was the 2nd highest bidder and that he already owns another Ichiro chase ball and would love to see a picture of this ball. He told me to put the ball under a black light and it should have some markings. When I received the ball (along with a letter of provenance on how the seller obtained the ball) I put it under a blacklight and saw that the ball was covered in invisible cryptic markings. After I sent images of my ball to this guy from Ebay, he recommended that I send an email to this gentleman from MLB Licensing Dept who may further assist me in authenticating the baseball. So wrote an email to this gentleman in MLB who told me the only way he can tell if its real is if I send the ball in. After sending it to MLB and anxiously waiting 2 months (I emailed a couple times to just to get a hint but he was not budging) I got the ball back fully MLB hologrammed + a letter from MLB stating that it was indeed an Ichiro chase ball put into play on Sept 30th. Since the gentleman at MLB was so kind and helpful I wrote a letter to Commissioner Bud Selig's office stating my gratitude. Not only did this gentleman get a letter from Selig commending him on his work, I ALSO received a hand-signed letter from Selig's office thanking me for thanking this gentleman! I later sent the ball to Ichiro's memorabilia agent who got the ball signed for me. Just a great experience over all.

As most of you guys probably already know, our collections keep growing and every so often we get to upgrade our collections. My new grail piece is this 1997 Curtis Martin game worn jersey to add to my other grail pieces. This one is just a bit more rare, and I really didn't think I would be able to get it, but once in awhile we get lucky. It is picture perfect in every respect and I am very proud to get it! I already posted on it, but hey, I like to see everyone's stuff over and over again. I actually go through all my auction mags just to see the goods again.

I'd say my most prized piece is my 1937 Alameda Kono All-Stars jersey. This was a Japanese American All-Star team that toured Asia. Here is a link with pics for those interested:

http://www.gameuseduniverse.com/vb_forum/showthread.php?t=13320

I got this as a kid when a neighbor was cleaning out her garage. She said you can keep whatever you find and I lucked upon this one and one other Japanese American baseball jersey. It's seems to be a somewhat rare piece with lots of history. I'm just glad I never got rid of it.

I'd love to see scans of this, along with a list of all the names you could make out, if you wouldn't mind. Also, any history, if you have it.

I'm part of a SABR group documenting the service history of MLB players.

Perhaps this is from a Pacific game between service teams? Mize and Reese were in the Navy.

My 1996 Alex Rodriguez Rawlings HR #15 (20th HR of his career) Bat. Only 12 bats were ordered by Arod in 1996. This being 1 of those 12, and being that it's a HR Bat, makes it pretty special bat.

For me it would be my 1950 Ohio State/Michigan program from the famous " now Bowl" game. I saw it on ebay and was out bid the last minute by just $.01 Disappointed, I put it out of my mind till about a week later I got an e-mail from the seller.

It turns out the guy who out beat me couldn't pay for it and everytime he tried his card was being turned down. The seller gave me his contact info and asked if I wanted it, to contact him at his store. I did the next day, gave my credit card and had the program in my hands by then end of the week.

The game was called the "Snow Bowl" because of the blizzard that day. Neither team scored a touchdown with scoring coming off of field goal attempts. The snow made it so hard to see, teams were punting on 1st or 2nd down. Ohio Stadium at the time held just over 80,000 people, but it was reported that under 30,000 made it to the game. Some program were rolled up and lit as torches to help keep warm, while others were just thrown away after the game. To find one in perfect condition is not only hard, but rare.

Another interesting note about the game, it was Francis Schmidt's last as the Buckeye's coach. The next guy hired to replace him, was some guy very few heard of by the name of Wayne Woodrow "Woody" Hayes.

Sami Salo is my boy. I have the most complete set of his jerseys. The highlight is his only white Detroit Vipers jersey. He played 5 games with them, 3 in the purple and 2 in the white. The best part was, the seller refused to sell it off eBay until I sent him a link to my collection. He sold it for a very fair price (and less than he would have got) based upon the fact he felt it belonged in my collection.
