I just wanted to get some feedback on my Bo Jackson bat collection. I've been collecting game-used bats for a little over a year now. I would love to add an Angels bat to the collection.

Let me know what you think.

Thanks,
Drew

Hi Drew,

I pay attention to whenever a Bo bat sells on ebay. Nice Rawlings you just picked up by the way.

Thanks, Bryan. I didn't include the Rawlings bat in the picture because I sent it off to be authenticated. A 1990 LS is also en route.

Do you, or anyone else, have any Bo gamers in your collection? I would love to see pictures of them.

Here is the pic of the game used Bo Jackson 1988 Rawlings bat - now PSA authenticated - that Bryan was talking about. Is this one worth getting autographed like the others? Bo will be at the National this August.

I would still love to see anyone else's Bo gamers.

I love the White Sox bats!

Thanks, Bill. With the exception of the Rawlings and the natural LS, they are all bats from Bo's days with the White Sox. Bo added the "16" to the Cooper bat before I could tell him that it was actually a Sox bat.

I am the former owner of the Worth Bo Jackson that you have in your collection. That is a very cool bat with the huge knob. You have a great group of bats going!:)

Thanks, Brian. Yeah, the knob on the Worth bat is crazy big. I had the bat authenticated by PSA (it passed) and they noted that "This is the first time we have seen a Bo Jackson bat with this modification to the knob." Definitely a cool piece.

You can remove the "16" from your White Sox bat. Buy something like "Goo Gone" and put some on a Q-tip and lightly rub the "16" off with the tip. It should work like a charm.

How do you store them?

Salukidave - will the Googone stuff work on Cooperstown Collection bats with that shine to it? I have one that I had signed by someone and I'd like to remove it.

Jake33,

Right now I store the bats in bat tubes. I am waiting to find just the right cabinet in which to display them.

A couple of Bo Jackson bats that I've picked up over the past few months. Brings my total collection to 12 (a second Rawlings bat is not pictured). Thanks for looking.

Great bats, I have been looking for a good Bo bat for a while but I am not comfortable with what is authentic and what isn't. If you don't mind send me an email on what a reasonable price range for a Bo Jackson bat is. lakeerie92 @ yahoo.com

You outbid me on the black Rawlings three years ago. Let me know if you ever sell that one.

Most exciting player I ever saw in person. In a game at (then) Royals stadium in '88 or '89, Bo hit an inside the parker. When he crossed the plate he didn't even slow down. He ran toward the dugout at full speed, then slid feet first under the dugout railing, grabbed the upper bar and swung up in the air like a gymnast dismounting the uneven parallel bars. If I hadn't seen it, I wouldn't have believed it was even possible.

This bat was just on eBay I believe.

Drew let's see a pic of all of your bats together, or post in the player's collection thread when you get a chance.

Awesome collection Drew! I love that era of bats, 80's-early 90's. It's interesting that he used such a varying degree of handles/knobs throughout his career.

I was just wondering the lengths on these. What is shortest and longest? Some of these look like monsters.

Go Tigers:

The biggest bat is the LS R206 which is 35" long and weighs 33.3 oz. It dates to Bo's earliest days with the Royals.

The smallest bat is the LS 064 which is 34" long and weights 31.8 oz. This bat is from Bo's days with the White Sox.

I am envious, he was my favorite player growing up. I could only wish to add a gamer to my collection, but they are too rich for me right now.
