Lampson Has Outdone Himself!

Currently listed at Bricol's auction site is a 1999 Will Clark O's helmet. What's interesting is that Lampson has also noted that it was worn by Calvin Maduro. A few problems with this:

1. Maduro was a right handed batter. Note this helmet has a right flap, indicating it would be used by a LEFT HANDED BATTER.

2. Incorrect # style for 2001

How could Lampson possibly write a LOA indicating this was used by Maduro? What would lead him to write this?

Forget having the wrong number style for 1999,the helmet has the wrong bird for 1999!
If this is not fake (and remember, Bricol and Lampson are involved here, so who knows) this is a 1998 Orioles batting helmet. Roberto Alomar wore #12 for the Orioles in 1998.
So, if this is not fake, Lamcol have not only screwed up, but screwed up in a way that reduces the value of the helmet (assuming you believe, as I do, that a Roberto Alomar Orioles helmet is more valuable than a Will Clark Orioles helmet).
