This Juan Encarnacion Cardinals M9 bat ended yesterday on ebay listed as a World Series bat. Seller states this bat was given to him during last years WS. However just 3 weeks ago on May 1st, this very same bat ended on ebay with no mention what so ever about the World Series. I emailed the seller, who replied "its close, but its not the same bat". Would not reply to emails after this one. This bat is without a doubt the same bat. All the marks and the crack are identical. Looks like the bogus WS info made him about $27. Appears to be genuine Encarnacion gamer, but very likely no ties to the WS or the first auction would have stated so in my opinion. Any thoughts?

it's been mentioned many times here before about doing your homework....if i really wanted this bat it would take only a few days to get videos from the series, fast forward to his at bats, and see what happens...I had an awesome puckett bat from the 91 series that was cracked...i watched the videos and sure enough, you could see where he cracked the bat hitting into a double play...

it always seems that lies, i.e., a good story, help make a sale...but pictures and video never lie...Barry Meisel said it best when he told me that pictures are like a fingerprint!!!!

This could possibly be a WS bat, as I have not reviewed tapes but I dont see how the seller could have obtained this bat at last years WS when a different seller just sold this bat 3 weeks ago. The seller flat denied this was not the same bat, when in fact it is. This is my point.
