Don't forget it is a charity auction. The money was for a very good cause, the buyers of the jerseys are not paying that money just for the jersey.

And I find it extremely greedy of Griffey to keep the bats...if his end up for sale buy one of his many game used distributors I am going to be really disappointed.

Well Last time I saw the Pujols was somewhere around $3,500 or something like that and that was about 2 hours before bidding ended. I don't know what it ended at but I am sure it jumped up even more.

Not only is the Jerseys for charity but remember for the special day/event itself all these players wearing the same #42 for Jackie Robinson has never been done before, it also being the very first one and who knows if they are going to do it again makes it that much more special.
