Cal Ripken Sr. Fungo Bat

I recently acquired for my collection a H&B model H29 (77-79) Cal Ripken Sr. fungo bat that is a valued addition to my colelction. The only "down" part of this is that it must have been stored in a damp area for years and there is some mold damage to the end of the barrell. Does anyone here have any experience in cleaning this type of problem up? Thanks
