I was wondering what everyone thought about this jersey, I do not know anything about jerseys. The fraying of the name badge looks extreme, their appears to be no fraying of the numbers.

This is the same seller who recently offered a "package" deal of a 1996 home and 1997 alternate green McGwire on Ebay:

A post was made here about these shirts, and it was noted that it's rather strange to not only see a 1996 year tag on an Oakland shirt (has anyone else seen a year tag in a 1996 A's jersey????), but that the year tag fonts on the 9's were different. The final price realized for the pair was $2,500!!

I sent the seller (Les?) an email seeking additional info on his pair he was selling. Below, please find his response:

The 2000 jersey in question has a ton of freying on the nameplate. I've seen my share of Cardinal jerseys from 2000, and none had this type of use. Possiblly Birdbats or Rob Steinmetz can add their observation about this shirt, and compare it to other 2000 Cards home shirts they have had. Possibly they have seen this odd freying.
