I have a game used Griffey Reds home jersey from 1978. It has started to just slightly yellow over the years due to age I guess. Is there an easy way to "whiten" it up again? It says not to bleach in the tagging. Any ideas, or should I just leave it be. Thanks for your help.

I've used this and it helped somewhat. I get mine at Target for under $3.00.

Greg-thanks. I might pick some up at Target and give it a shot. Any other ideas out there?

Is there a product that can turn a green ripken jersey into one that was actually used?

Sorry, couldn't resist.

No, there isn't. But there is a product that can turn an actually used Ripken jersey, green.

Or from the good ole 1970's Wacky Packs "Irish Ring":

Wow, "Wacky Packages". In the 4th grade, my notebooks were covered with those. My favorite was "Preparation H-bomb". :p

Seriously, I've tried the Rit whitener on an '87 Jim McMahon away gamer that was very yellowed and it didn't make much, if any, difference. I also tried Oxy-Clean mixed with a little bleach and again, very little difference. I've pretty much accepted that it's just going to be forever yellowed.
