Curious if anyone here won this jersey? Curious if they sent it out for authentication because the description makes it sound like it didn't pass authentication for being original or a original signature.

I know which person now has this jersey, he says its a 1970-71 uniform. I have no idea if he has any intention of authenticating it or if he will sell it in the future.

They are saying basically it is not authenticated. The signature looks fine in my opinion.

Goodwill just takes the donations and lists the item. Unless it comes already authenticated they really don't go out of their way to do it.

I was watching this too. Looks like Unique_Threads won it. https://www.instagram.com/p/BYg5T1XBUWc/?taken-by=unique_threads

It would be from the 1970-71 season as that is when they used that specific logoman patch (with the hint of silver in front of the logoman) on the shorts for the NBA's 25th anniversary. I believe the tags are correct too for that season. Crazy to think that someone may have donated that uniform.

It's interesting that you can see the winners max bid. Looks like he was willing to pay up to $11,000 for the jersey.

I'm guessing he's pretty happy with the price he paid.

I wonder what the goodwill employees thought when that "old, musty" basketball uniform sold for $5000+ lol
