Question on Gronk trophy ball

Just curious to see if anybody knows how pats do Game ball. Are they used in game? This gronk ball on eBay according to the codes would have been manufactured in May of 2011 that's an 8 month disparity between making and game, seems like a long time between. I'm not questioning the authenticity of ball just whether they are game used or not.

I don't know if that ball is real or not. But because of the ebay seller who has forged game used balls and these trophy balls, I would never trust one unless it came directly from the player. Because why would Gronk not want to keep this ball?

Thought the same thing but this guy has had legit gronk stuff in the past. I asked where he got it still waiting for response. My issue is if game used patriots at the time would color the laces for game play.

While I have no specific knowledge of this item, gronk stuff gets out on a regular basis (jerseys, helmets, etc) so it's very likely this came from gronk. Players just don't care about items sometimes.

I have dealt with the company that does the presentation balls in the past. I sent them a ball that had missing letters from the name. They gladly said they would fix it. After they received it they asked is I would prefer a newer ball that holds air. After explaining to them why I wanted the same ball back I realized they probably don't ensure the correct ball is used when the paint it.

I know a guy who knows Gronk- he doesn't really care about his game gear. When asked where his SB49 jersey was, he replied sitting on his closet floor. I almost had a heart attack.
