Dick Butkus Pro Bowl helmet

Wondering if any of you helmet gurus had any thoughts on this Butkus helmet on ebay:

Looks like somebody bought it already.

GU FB helmets are not an area I'm educated in, but I can verify the background of Ron Zera. He used to talk to me often during his role at Wrigley Field as the visitors clubbie. He even sold me a GU Jim Wynn jersey he picked up in his travels. After he left the Cubs organization, he spent several years at Old Comiskey Park co-operating a stadium souvenir stand with a longtime vendor at both Chicago ballparks. If it did come from Zera, I'd be pretty supportive of it.

Thanks Dave. I think the clips were replaced, but the rest totally checks out, IMO.

Im not judging in any way,, but why is the Bears logo under the paint black as opposed to white? Just curious.

The C decal was removed from each side then white paint was applied. The white paint wore off, or "didn't take", where the C once was applied.
