Not dying to sell this but something else has come up since I bought this recently.
I love 50s baseball and flannels and this is a beautiful specimen of the best-looking jersey style in baseball.
For sale: 1958 St. Louis Cardinals Joe Cunningham road grey flannel game used jersey.
Jersey is all original and 100 percent complete and in excellent condition. Colors on this 59-year-old jersey are still very vibrant, material is the nice thick flannel of the 50s, and the wool number '28' on the back is in fantastic shape as well. There's two tiny moth holes near the 'C' in 'Cardinals' (see photos), plus one of the same size at the very bottom of the front tail. Note this is the last season Cunningham wore No. 28, he switched numbers in 1959.
Jersey has Cunningham's name stitched in the front tail along with '58' for the season and has the correct 'set 1 1958' small tag inside the front tail, along with the other two proper Rawlings tags.
Cunningham hit .312 in this jersey in 1958 and hit an amazing .345 in 1959 and made the All-Star team. After his career, he became a life-long Cardinals front-office staffer and is very popular, there's even an area of the ballpark named in his honor.
The screenshots below show Cunningham playing in 1959 but they are NOT this jersey as its a different season (I am selling his 1958 jersey). They are from a YouTube video of a 1959 Cardinals-Dodgers game. Check it out and you can watch Cunningham play, bat several times, and hit a home run! How rare is it to buy a 59-year-old jersey and get to watch the guy play in a game on TV and hit a homer??

Price is $875 plus $25 shipping/insurance. If no deal is made on the forum, it will go to ebay quickly at a higher price.

Thank you to the forum owners for the opportunity to sell here.

Thanks for the heads-up but I never get jerseys signed. Bats, yes, but not jerseys. I'm going to leave this as-is, all original as it was worn almost 60 years ago.
