Thanks to my buddy Don, I just acquired a Steve Huntz bat for my 1967 Cardinals collection. With this addition, I now need bats from only two more position players -- Jimy Williams and John Romano -- for my '67 set (along with several pitchers).

And then there were three...

Added the big dog to my 1922 Browns collection with yesterday's arrival of a 1922-'25 George Sisler bat. My team set want list is down to Baby Doll Jacobson, Hank Severeid and Frank Ellerbe. An Urban Shocker would also be sweet, but I'm not getting my hopes up for any pitchers' bats.

Also added to my 1942 Cardinals collection with the acquisition of a 1942-43 Harry Walker bat. It's one of the earliest bats to have the Walker finish; you'll notice about 9" of the barrel end is slightly darker than the rest of the bat (the difference used to be more stark, but the aged patina of the lighter wood makes the different finishes harder to see).

Just received in the mail today a 2001 Brewers home jersey of Ray King with the 9/11 flag patch added to the back of the neck. King is a Facebook friend, a guy I talked with some over the years, and was kind enough to send me his Cardinals Sunday alternate cap a number of years ago, which I still have.

Pair of Gary Carter bats from 86.

-Darryl Strawberry model with Straw's name blacked out
-Blank bat pro model bat which Gary hand wrote his name on the barrel and used. I was told by John Ruffino who was the assistant equipment manager in 86 that Gary used to get these blank pro model bats which were used for him to autograph and give away as gifts. He obviously used some too. 'KID8' is written on the knob and barrel end.

Thanks. Really interesting that pro model bats without the players names imprinted so they can autograph it on that spot were used for promotional and souvenirs back in those days.

For Christmas I got this 2015 Adam Liberatore jersey. Its labeled as issued but has several loose threads and a pretty wrinkled wash tag. He isn't the biggest name in the game but Adam and I were separated by a few years but we went to the same high school. When Adam was home on break from college I would catch bullpens for him.

Fairly sure these will be my last pick ups for the year.

I accuired Raul Mondesi's 2016 Left and Right batting helmets. These were used for all his non-Friday home games. The Royals wore helmets with gold lettering for all Friday home games in 2016.

Wearing the right handed helmet Raul Mondesi made his first regular season at bat against the Angels on July 26, 2016 after becoming the first player in the history of the MLB to have his MLB debut in the World Series. Wearing the left handed batting helmet he got his first MLB hit on July 27, 2016 which was also his 21st birthday. That made him one of the few players to ever get their first MLB hit on their birthday. He also recorded his first and second career homeruns while wearing the left handed helmet and both against the Tigers in Detroit.

Also posted in the Royals thread (#354 and 355) with more pics and info.

I would assume that this is the same bat J.T. Sports was selling. I had strongly considered purchasing that bat at the Cyber Monday pricing, but decided to wait and noticed 3 days later it was removed from the website. Glad to see that a game used member got it. The autograph definitely makes that bat stand out more.
