Hello..for those of you interested in any of the saints jerseys I had the privilege of seeing all of them firsthand today at my friends shop. Rest assured they are the absolute nicest game used jersey I have ever seen. The usage is incredible..team repairs...stains...etc..all are signed and dated as game used by the players..some with the actual games they were used in, including colstons jersey from the Monday night game back at the dome against Atlanta...and the most impressive is Reggie Bush's white jersey hat was used agianst the Giants..all of the jerseys are easy photo matches...i suggest anyone interested act quickly, and i guarantee you will be BLOWN away by these jerseys!!!;)

I'm at a complete loss of words why Chuck would make a post on our Forum, indicating he has these jerseys and then completely ignore our requests for photos and pricing and take them to Ebay?

Did any Forum reader ever receive a response from Chuck with photos and/or pricing?

Seems like a real slap in the face to those who may have desired to actually buy one BEFORE going on Ebay.

Notice there is no Reebok tag (There are other shots from 2006 of Bush wearing jerseys without the reebok tag)

Hi Eric, I am confused regarding your post. Are you talking about the Rebox symbol on his left shoulder between the number and the Saints emblem?

If so, to me it looks like you can see the lower left edge of that Rebox symbol on the ebay jersey as well - just can't see it all because of how the jersey is positioned on the hanger.

Just wondering if I missed what you were seeing?

I am completley confused. I called him and he told me he was not sure what prices he wanted for the jerseys and for 5 days was confused on what to do. I now see the jerseys on ebay and I was never given a shot at purchasing the jerseys at any price he wanted.

Chuck obviously knows what he has. Saying that, he is unsure the process he wants to take regarding the sale of the jerseys. I know he has been contacted by several memorabilia auctions, GUU, and collectors regarding the jerseys. I was surprised as well to see them go on ebay, although it is not a bad deal to do. He has a reserve and if it hits then he is happy. If it doesn't hit then he will proceed to sale them otherwise.

Now regarding the Reggie Bush tag and to anyone who may come on the site to say that it is questioned or not good. GUU-We, do not have enough purdent information regarding the Bush. No one has seen the swatch tag in the neck or don't even know what size it is. I understand and have look at the photo on Getty to where a jock tag has been removed. That doesn't mean it is no good it just contridicts the dated game autograph.

So, here is the deal. Chuck mentioned he will be posting the jerseys on GUU. Whether they are for sale or not who knows. What I would do is contact him via ebay and any and all discussions you have regarding authenticity or the process of saling any of the merchandise individually I am sure he will answer and if so be it can be posted on GUU if you so desire. The questions that need to be asked before this thread goes the wrong way are 1) We would like to see pictures of the swatch tag in the neck and jock tag in the tail. 2) From those pics you will get the size and this is very important to know if remotely it is a jersey that he would have worn or not. 3) What use is displayed puckering, hit marks, repairs, burn marks, pealing etc. 4) Any and all information he can supply regarding the autograph and dating of the jersey.

The other question I would have regarding the Bush is has been well known that with his high profile status he knew what his memoraibilia was worth and between his marketing and agent that it would be very difficult to find a Bush from the 2006 season, one that can be closely matched outside anything associated with Bush's name and/or camp.

What does this mean?

I posted a photo of the tail area which has had the tag removed earlier in this thread. Are you referring to a different tag? We definitely need close ups of the rest of the jersey.

Did Chuck amend his ebay auction to say the Bush tag does not match the getty photos from the Saints game versus the Giants? That's important information to share when talking about that much money changing hands.

Also, any reason he hasn't come back on the forum to answer the questions?

Any reason he didn't answer the forum member's questions about the Bush, which caused me to post about it on GUU?

If you talk to him again, tell him we'd welcome him back to present his own facts so people could get their questions answered.

Eric I just posted a lengthy reply and erased it accidently. Man, I can't type the whole thing again, stupid me. Anyway, to answer your first question I did make it confusing. What I meant by he knows what he has is the fact that 2006 Saint jerseys are very tough to find with good use. He is wanting more money than I would be willing to pay for the entire lot. I agree with the jock tag missing does raise some questions. If Chuck does want to sell these individually, yes, he is going to have to answer any and all questions that are asked here.

I am just saying I am up in the air as with all the forum members as to how or what venue he wants to use to sell the jerseys. More over, if he even wants to sell them?? I have not talked to Chuck after he posted the jerseys on ebay so I am sure if they do not meet reserve that we will hear from him his intentions.

I received a picture from Chuck for the neck tag on the Bush game jersey....it's "06-42-L". Attached is the picture. He also informed me he was looking for $10,000.00 alone for the Bush and there was no COA from the Saints staing it was worn, only that the autograph is authentic. I hope this information helps someone....

yes it should help because the swatch tag in the neck is correct. The size is correct. Now possibility that Chuck and Reggie spoke about the jersey and maybe Chuck was misinformed regarding the game he wore the jersey in or Reggie thought it was his vs. Giants jersey, I don't know. I would like to see pics of the Giants game with the tail all the way out and maybe the Reebok jock tag is there? Thank you for the pic of the swatch tag in neck.

If anyone is interested i just picked up both of Drew Brees' game used practice jerseys..i have his red quarterback jersey..and his white practice jersey...the red jersey shows tons of use, and has his name screened on the back..its a reebok size 46...and has 03-46 tag in the collar...the white jersey shosw good use and is a reebok size 48..has 04-48 in the collar and has his name screened on the bcak as well...i also have back up running back jamaal branch's game used helmet..great use and even has his mouthpiece..any interested feel free to email me at wakeforest86@cox.net for pics....thanks;)

To answer your question about the Syracuse jerseys i traded those a long time ago as possible game issued or salesmans samples...i did not submit them to Mastro..I don't know who did....the chargers jerseys that i was going to send to you were returned as they were not game used or issued..i assume you liked the jefferson jersey as I never heard any negative things from you regarding it...i can tell you that it is very frustrating sometimes on the forum because people who consider themselves experts alawys question other peoples items, and do incredible research to find problems with jerseys that are not theirs..on the flip side when they try to sell or trade one of thier items its always good as gold....my friend who had the saints jerseys took alot of harsh criticism that was not deserved for listing them on ebay..like i said im sure im not the only one who feels there are certian people within the game used hobby that thrive on bashing others items, and doing almost CSI research to prove that what they have is no good...im sure these same people will respond to this post the same way they do thers posts....bottom line is that this is supposed to be fun and a source of enjoyment for most of us, and there are those that force collectors like me to take a break from all the nonsense..rest assured that none of these comments are directed towards you as you have been fair and honest with me in the past, and do a great job policing the forum;)

Wait a second, let me ask you how much fun it is to spend 30k on a game used bat trusting specific individuals then come to find out with the correct "CSI" or less investigational work that the bat is in question and even borderline not a good bat. Now I am sure that you would not one to be one of those individuals. All Eric did was support photo evidence that every photo that we have seen shows a Reggie Bush jersey with no jock tag. No one on the forum ever said the jersey was not good. Look at my previous post and you will see I support Chuck and just tried to make it clear before anyone came on the site and bashed the Bush due to the photo evidence Eric poste to any and all members to help make an educated decision whether they believe the jersey is worth the amount of money asked considering it to be a game used jersey. I hope Chuck is not upset at the GUU site it is informative and useful. Let me put it to you this way, lets say they the GUU site/forum supported the Bush jersey with all of its "CSI" investigation. NOW WHAT IS THAT JERSEY WORTH?? 5k, 10k, 15k who knows but it would be alot easier to get 15k with all the support. Eric was not trying to make the jersey bad, he just wanted to support the jersey and it dated game sig.

I have to admit, I'm a little confused by what you just posted in this thread. In this situation, there was a Bush jersey that appeared to be incongruent with the Getty images of the jersey it was supposed to be used in according to the signature. In fact, judging from Chuck's statement "it is no longer for sale as we have took the proper actions with our supplier" it appears the collecting community owns a great deal of thanks to Eric for identifying this issue before someone spent thousands of dollars on the jersey.

With that said, you also suggest people are trying to "blackball" items as evidenced by the emails you received from forum members. I have to admit that really confuses me. If people were trying to blackball items why would they do it via emails and not publicly? It appears to me that the collectors on this forum may have wanted information to help them determine the items' legitimacy. I think any potential buyer should have that right. Additionally, I think given: a) you publicly posted that you had seen the jerseys and could testify to their merits, and b) Chuck was unable to respond to forum members after you posted his phone number without his consent, the members on the forum probably felt justified sending you their emails to follow-up.

Further, as an FYI, here is the forum rules regarding questioning items on the forum:

In instances where a forum member is identifying an item in the hobby they believe to have issues, it is expected that the poster clearly state their findings in the form of an opinion and provide adequate rationale for why they believe there is an issue. When possible, it is expected that the poster questioning an item will attempt to contact the seller of the item and allow at least 24 hours for the seller to reply before posting. This will prevent postings that may be generated based on misunderstandings of an item.

To be perfectly honest, I don't see the basis for your comments. I also looked at your remarks regarding the Syracuse jerseys in Mastros. In that situation, the forum rules were followed and questions were asked that collectors still deserve answers to (and still haven't been answered). Therefore, I can't believe your comments are referring to that thread either. Thus, if you could please clarify the basis for your comments maybe it would help everyone going forward.

This is the last post i will make regarding what i said...maybe i was misinterpretted...i have NO knowledge of who submitted the Syracuse jerseys to Mastro's...my name only came up from Eric because i was sold the jerseys over a year ago....to be honest i don't even remember who I trade the jerseys to, and if that person in turn gave the Mastro Auctions. since the submission of the jerseys to Mastros does not even involve me, i am in no position to comment on who submitted them and why Mastros has not responded...i don't even know anyone at Mastro's.....as far as my post regarding the Saints jerseys, I am taking alot of criticism for only trying to help forum members....I speak to Chuck on a weekly basis, and was only sharing the great experience I had seeing his incredible collection of this yeras jerseys....those who contacted me directly were NOT trying to get answers about the legitamacy of the Bush jersey,m as that did not become an issue to just a few days back..they were pushing me to give personal info on how to contact Chuck, which i should not have shared with the forum...it was not my intention to cause a problem, and Im sure Chuck would vouch for the fact that I was only trying to help those individuals interested in the jerseys....i will keep my opinions to myself from now on, as it was NEVER my intention for furum readers to respond to my post in a negative way....as a matter of fact it was supposed to have the opposite effect and allow me to share what had occured..i appreciate the diligence that people use in researching items, and reading posts, but that does not change the way I feel about how certain items are handled..prime example are the Syracuse jerseys in Mastro's that i knew nothing about them being submitted...i will continue to enjoy the hobby with people like Chuck who make it not only fun to collect, but more importantly share the same enthusaism and excitement that i have with every new find or pick up;)
