I was hoping to get some feedback on a Penguins practice jersey that is supposed to be Jager used. I know absolutely nothing about hockey jerseys and what little information I can find in my research really isn't swaying me either way.

Any information/feedback would be appreciated!

Hockey is not my specialty either, but it looks more like a game style jersey than what teams would use in practice. That said, I'd definitely want to see a lot of wear on it, as in that era, NHL teams rarely wore more than 2 sets of each style jersey in a season, playoffs usually being the reason for a third set. Some teams also did employ tagging inside the tail of the jersey by that time, although I don't know if the Penguins were one of them or not.

I would stay away based on the size alone, other Jagr jerseys I have seen were all size 56 to 58.

Hockey being one of my specialties in authenticating i can tell you its not what is advertised.

First off in the 1990's i don't think even Theron Fluery wore a size 48. So the size is way off and way off for Jagr. The jersey does not have the custom markings by the equipment manager at the time on the tagging. The jersey is not a practice jersey it is a "On Ice retail authentic".

They are asking somewhat what it is worth.

So if you are thinking its a gamer or a practice jersey i would stay away. If your looking for a authentic 1990's ultrafil jersey i would think about sending in an offer.
