Some players have full baseball impressions on their bats, depends on bat coating, color, ect. Look at some Cargo and Morneau bats. Definitely an Upton gamer from getty photos, a lot of his black lvs bats show full outline impressions.

Another thing to look for are dimple ball marks. If you see these, most likely the bat was used at the local batting cages.

Seam impressions are good. Very hard to fake. Someone has to be able throw hard enough and the other person has to be able to hit the ball.
