Awesome jersey...I've seen more game used jerseys of his from his briefer coaching stints with the Mets and Braves than I have from his 17 years as the ace of the Cards' mound staff. You truly have a gem there.

Nice pickup - I'm reading the book, The Machine, on the Reds '75 season again and just read the portion on the last career appearances of Gibson during that summer.

2015 Charlie Blackmon Home jersey. Lots of wear, game wear and washings, almost no silver left in the Rockies workdmark. He is my sons fav player and this jersey is for him. To say he's obsessed would be an understatement. That pic was taken right before he told Chuck that he was going to be him for Halloween, classic stuff!

1955 Roy Campanella bat:
(MVP Year/World Championship Year)

Campy bat from the famous '55 season, the only Brooklyn Dodger title year for the Boys of Summer, also an MVP Season for him. Campanella hit .318 with 32 Home Runs and knocked in 107, his third of three MVP Seasons for Brooklyn in the 50s, and was the heart and soul of those teams.
Campanella bats seem to be one of the toughest to get from the era, especially nice overall ones.
The bat has very heavy use, with a couple of key player traits - good application of pine tar on the lower handle and tons of cleat marks around the whole barrel. Plus the stampings came out nice and clear and it has a great patina to it.

That is a great looking glove! I looked at your photos for quite a bit and it appears to be a different glove than the getty images. Take a look at the 'O' in Bruno, on the black and white one the O is butts up against the seam and yours appears to be a little ways away from it. It still looks like a great glove and is a style match but may not be this exact glove.

I had the same concern Jimmy, but my thoughts are that the glove in the Getty photo is brand new. While "The Catch" glove would have used for 162 games, so the sharpie lettering faded and gloves do stretch. I just think the lettering looks spot on, but I totally see your point. Thanks for the kind words.

Over the last few months I struck up a friendship with Avery and finally got a jersey I was promised after the last home game. First time I've ever gotten one DIRECTLY after a game, and you could tell it was just removed 15-20 minutes prior.

It's not as big a deal as a David Cone jersey or a Billy Williams bat, but I'm happy with a recent cap acquisition: a 2003 GU, autographed and inscribed Toby Hall Devil Rays cap. It appealed to me for 2 reasons: first, Hall was a member of the 2005 White Sox and second, he was the guy who fingered Sam-Me Sosa during a night game that year against the Cubs at Wrigley Field. I was out on Waveland Avenue with the other Ballhawks at the time.

On 2011 for a week or two prior the all star got stars on track back of their jersey and hat. It was the only year this was done if I remember right. It is still done for the ASG I believe.
