Parting with a #15 1980 Detroit Tigers game-used road jersey worn by Duffy Dyer.
It's a Wilson size 44 on the neck with an embroidered 2 next to it. Also, on the lower left near the bottom is an embroidered 80 2 on a small patch of uniform material. No rips or tears, just soft from wear.
Interestingly, there is evidence of a nameplate previously covering wear DYER is sewn. It's tough to see, but if you hold it at just the right angle, you can see the discoloration in the fabric. Also, under close scrutiny, microscopic pinholes from a sewing needle are evident.
I did not see evidence of any nameplates during a check of 1979 and 1980 Getty Images of Tigers road uniforms. I have a Ball Park Heroes LOA, but it doesn't mention what I spotted. According to Baseball America, #15 was not worn during the 1979 regular season.
