I messaged the seller that it's a 1982 cap, and he said he's going to stick with the MEARS assessment. The cap was sold by MEARS as a 1970s Phillies game used cap with no mention of Cash:

I actually think it's a 1982 cap based upon design elements, but regardless, even if it's a 1972 cap, it was never worn by Cash. EWC means "2" year. Cap matches late-70s, early-80s style, so I'm thinking 1982 manufacturing date.
Either way, not a Dave Cash cap.
