HoFer has leg amputation

Lou Brock, the Hall of Fame great for the Cardinals and Cubs, had his left leg amputated below the knee on October 27. The amputation was performed because of problems related to diabetes.

On a positive note, I believe he is getting fitted for a prosthetic leg, which hopefully will allow him to walk again.
