Some additional upgrades have just been made to the forum! Here are 2 big improvements we've made...

1) The Collector to Collector and Items Wanted section will now require member log in. As I'm sure many of you have experienced, there are a lot of lurkers on the forum. Personally I've always been caught off guard and cautious, when I'm approached about an item by a non-member. Buying and selling should feel safe. We firmly believe that only members should benefit from this unique, free venue to buy, sell and trade.

2) You will now be able to edit your own posts. You can edit your posts for about 10 minutes after you've submitted them. I know this has long been a heartburn for members. This will allow you time to correct errors or add additional information.

As always, we'll keep looking for ways to improve your experience. Thank you to all the members that have suggested these two important updates.

Doug Reiser

Keep in mind our other recent updates, as originally posted-

We are very excited to announce some exciting changes to Game Used Universe.

1) Over the last few days, we completed migrating to a new dedicated hosting service. As you know, we have experienced frequent crashes over the last couple of years. This move will eliminate the down time for our site and allow for future growth. We have to thank Goldin Auctions (www.Goldinauctions.com) for their financial contribution, which made this move possible. We would also like to thank www.lithiumhosting.com for making it an easy transition.

2) Forgot your password? Our "forgotten password" feature now works! Just click on the link in the login box, enter your username & email address and a new password will be sent to you. http://www.gameuseduniverse.com/forgot_password.php Please note, it may take 24 hours to receive your new password.

And NOW the FUN stuff...

3) The selling limit in our Collector to Collector section has been raised to $1,000! All posts will require approval by our moderators before they appear on the forum. Paypal payment will also be the only form of payment a seller can request in their listing. This is for the protection of both parties. As always, Game Used Universe will have no involvement in the evaluation of items or in the transaction. Any disputes must be handled directly between the buyer and seller. Game Used Universe will not mediate, does not guarantee the claims of the seller and you are buying at your own risk.

4) We are also excited to announce our Facebook page... https://www.facebook.com/gameuseduniverse/ Please like us on Facebook and watch for posts regarding our hobby, sports topics, linked posts from the forum and anything else we find interesting enough to share!

5) We have a new Experts' Corner section on the forum. Watch for articles and contributions from some of the top names in our hobby and the memorabilia business. Just another way we hope to bring information and enjoyment to our community and the hobby.

6) Continue to watch for future announcements and upgrades.

We hope you enjoy these improvements and take advantage of the new features. Thank you for your continued engagement in the community.

The Game Used Universe team.

Agreed, and thanks for all the hard work.
Agreed. Specifically, I think we should all thank Doug Reiser, Mike Specht, David Louie and Nick DiSalvo for their efforts in administrating the site.

Also, thanks to Goldin Auctions for their financial contributions to help make the new moves possible.

On a related note, I am personally very excited about the 'Experts Corner' we are looking to implement. I think it will be very beneficial to the members of this community.

It's amazing how far this site has come since it's inception and it was fun to watch it grow into what it is today (thru some years of adversity and growing pains) It was a priviledge to be part of what it was in the beginning and even more so for what it has become today.
