http://www.ebay.com/itm/1969-Seattle-Pilots-Gordy-Lund-14-Game-Used-Hat-Cap-/351509702814?

Seller StagsCCC is passing off this 1970s reproduction cap as a game used 1969 hat. Do not be fooled. This is a 1970s replica hat.

I attempted to message the seller, but they have messaging turned off.

I hope that the eventual buyer is aware that the cap is a replica and not an actual gamer.

Oh, and for reference, actual 1969 gamers look like this (thanks to BallCapBlog):

Another thing to note, the ink on the "14" doesn't look like it's been on the cap for 45+ years.

These guys have a store in Kent. They sell only coins and precious metals. I think at one time when they had a bigger store they sold sports stuff. I bought a few coins off them last week. I will mention something to them or if you want call them.

Or you could send them a message on Facebook

If you could let them know, that'd be great. Ironically, they have one they're calling team issued that might actually be a 1969 gamer.

Someone emailed me (ejsamm) stating that the hats are both good. This is incorrect. The hat listed as game used with "14" under the brim is not a 1969 hat. It's missing very specific elements that are found in 1969 Pilots hats.

Does it have anything to do with the stitching on the hat itself? I do see a difference there.

Yes. If there is no stitching, it's a 1970s reproduction.

1986&2004Bosox (ejsamm@yahoo.com) keeps emailing me that the hat is good. He said that the visor is stitched, and I'm just not seeing it.

Now, this is a sincere question: Am I really not seeing stitching that is supposedly here? Here's the photo from the listing:

I'm simply not seeing the 8 rows of stitching on the visor.

Looking at the underneath photo, there looks to be no stitching.

Whereas the other hat does
