Hi there , the title should read Toby Hall Home Run bat .... I screwed up the first time .... There can't be too many of Hall's Homerun bats out there.... He hasn't hit that many .... 44 homers thru 2006 ... in 2002 he hit 6 in 85 games with Tampa Bay .....

hall played for the durham bulls in 2002, when he logged 22 games for them. (the bulls are in the international league). hall also played for tampa bay in 2002, logging 85 games for the devil rays.

hall played for both the devil rays and the bulls from 2000-2002. in and out of the minors so to speak. hall first debuted for the devil rays in 2000.

it seems that hall simply received an order of bats while he was with tampa bay, either in 2001 or 2002, and took them down to the minors with him. it's likely he then took them back up to the majors.

Is it possible he used this in spring training? I know my local minor league team sends their extra baseballs to the parent club's spring training facility.

thanks for the replys Rudy and AHuff:), Rudy your scenario seems to be what happen , maybe that's why it doesn't have his #44 on the end like the others . looking thru my devil rays media guides . I see on May 28, 2002 he was optioned to AAA and returned to Tampa Bay on June 25, 2002 and stayed for the remainder of the season . I didn't realize Durham was in the International League . He's been at the major league level since . Looks like the same sharpie was to sign both home run bats . Have a great day !
