David Ortiz "2004 Majestic" Jersey?

Any Red Sox collectors care to comment on the 2004 David Ortiz Majestic brand home jersey currently on their site? I'm not aware of the team wearing Majestic jerseys until the 2005 season, likewise, I've only seen Russell brand 2004 Red Sox jerseys, never Majestic. Getty Images only reflects Russell jerseys on all of their 2004 photos. Comments?

I've never heard of a 2004 Red Sox Majestic jersey. They are listing it as a "Circa" 2004 jersey, which has me extremely suspicious.

if the red sox did not wear majestic home jerseys in 2004 (which i don't believe they did) then what is this jersey?

why attribute the shirt to 2004 rather than 2005 or 2006? simply the lack of strip tagging?

the shirt has now been revised to reflect "Circa 2005". Any idea how this particular jersey, or for that matter, a jersey void of any specific year tagging or special sleeve patch can be attributed to a specific year, i.e, 2005?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but there is no difference between the 2005 and 2006 Red Sox jerseys in terms of appearance.

Your thoughts?

Personally speaking, I haven't seen any legitimate 2006 Red Sox jerseys without year tagging, whereas some early 2005's did not have year tagging.
