Have the White Sox ever worn their 1976-1981 style uniforms for a TBTC game. I have seen them in the much older styles and the 1982+ style, but not the white or dark blue style from the '76-'81 era.

That's probably the only TBTC style they haven't worn. I'm pretty sure Reinsdorf doesn't want to honor anything Bill Veeck did with the team.

They may be wearing them this year; short blurb on Uni-Watch last week that the Sox are wearing the navy throwback caps with white button and white SOX soon, so it is surmised that the 1976-81 uniforms may be worn....

Here's a link to the article:

At the time, I remember (along with many others) thinking how horrible these uniforms looked, but now, especially with the way modern players wear their uniforms (pajama pants, lack of stirrups, etc.), the 1976-81 look has really grown on me. I especially liked the white caps, navy bill version they wore on the road for a select few games in 1976. Hope this happens.

The 1976 throwback jerseys looked pretty bad on the team tonight. The popular sizes such as 50 and 52, which look fine in regular jerseys, looked like dresses on the players.

I dug out my Zisk and Gamble game-used jerseys from my collection and there's a reason why they are sized 46 and 38, respectively. The players tonight would've been much better off if they were sizes like that.

I was there also. The jerseys woer OK, but not great, an I wish that Seattle would have taken part in the theme by wearing 1977-style road powder blues.
