What is the significance of the logo on these nba rising stars challenge shorts?

I agree on the big apple... the star for rising stars/all star weekend... the other symbol may be the M for MSG... doesn't really look like the actual building to me... I know the stars on the all star jersey had significance...

Looks like the logo recognizes all the boroughs of NYC...Queens, Staten Island, Manhattan, the Bronx, and Brooklyn, in that order.

Thank you for the response, Dave. I was referring to the logo on the shorts. The other logo I posted was to show how the other ones were much clearer as to what they represented, in this case the boroughs.
